Ceramic coating for pistons

Ceramic coating on pistons is essential when building a high performance diesel engine.  In our opinion it should be built into every engine from the factory, and/or added when doing an engine rebuild.

Nothing reflects more heat than ceramic does.  When your diesel engine with uncoated pistons is operating at high loads, high fueling conditions, high Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), the only thing keeping the piston from melting is the oil cooling nozzle spraying oil on the bottom of the piston.  The ceramic coating reflects a tremendous amount of heat back away from the piston therefore helping protect it from the extreme temperatures of combustion.

The ceramic coating also helps keep heat in the combustion chamber where it further helps burn the fuel.

The coating is less than .001" thick, and won't effect the engine's compression ratio.  It is also guaranteed for the life of the engine.

Ceramic coating is cheap insurance to have when shooting for high horsepower out of your diesel engine.
