The Banks housing is a big improvement over the stock housing. It allows more air flow, cooler temperatures, and better turbo response. The compressor wheel eliminates damaging compressor surge/flutter that's commonly present on modified Powerstrokes. You can also order just the housing, or just the compressor wheel. Replacing just the stock compressor wheel with the Banks unit has also shown to greatly reduce or eliminate turbo surge.
