DPS Water Injection System installed on a 6.9L idi.

The pictures below are how the nozzles are mounted in the airbox.  The turbo on the engine is the "old school" Banks non-wastegated turbo with the old style metal box.

The old style airbox is an excellent candidate for our water/alcohol injection nozzles.  We drilled the "pressure side" of the box to accept the fitting(s) for the nozzles.

The nozzles fit in the box perfectly!

Looks pretty good from the outside!

How does the system work?  In a word - Awesome!  The stages are set for 5 and 13psi of boost.  When we set the switches for boost activation, when the 1st stage activates, the engine gains 4-5psi of boost and the has a very noticeable power increase.  When the 2nd stage activates the engine gains another 2-3psi of boost and the EGTs stop climbing.   The power also increases depending on how far down you have the throttle.  The nice thing is - the more fuel you put to it, the better the gains are!

With just the 1st stage activated with the pump turned to a slightly high pressure setting, the engine can easily produce 15psi of boost with windshield washer fluid in the tank.
