Forged Connecting Rods

The forged rods are available once again!!!  This time around we'll need your rebuildable cores back though. 

A direct-fit replacement for Powerstroke engines.  These rods are a must for anyone looking for high horsepower out of a late 2001 and later Ford Powerstroke.  Around October, 2001 Ford switched the connecting rods from forged steel to powdered metal.  The downside is that the newer (PM) rods are much weaker than forged ones, and are only good to around 420hp. 

Forged rods are highly recommended when going to high horsepower applications such as propane with a high output chip, nitrous, etc.  They will not come apart under high rpm/high cylinder pressure conditions.
