The head gaskets that come in most gasket sets are what is known as a "composition" or "sandwich" type gasket.  These types use a small amount of steel or copper and asbestos fiber in the middle. These gaskets will seal fine for normal usage, but they're inadequate for High boost, High HP, or Nitrous assisted engines.

Our copper head gaskets gaskets are virtually blow-out proof.  When used on conjunction with o-rings, and possibly head studs, these gaskets will never blow out regardless of the boost or hp that you're running.

Our copper head gaskets are formed from sheets of solid copper stock and will last for the life of the engine, provided they aren't mutilated in the install or removal.
